(Case Study Preview) UX Strategy & Product Delivery: Independent School Management

My Role, Team Structure, & Highlights:

Facing increased competition in the educational support space, I was brought aboard to initially research and plan the redesign effort for the company’s flagship SaaS product.

After that initial success, I was promoted to re-invigorate additional offerings with a user-centered design (UCD) approach, with the goal of both adding value and streamlining current operations.

  • Worked collaboratively to develop a detailed UX strategy for the flagship SaaS product, share findings with executive stakeholders, mitigate risk by mapping out release milestones, and increase project team capabilities through coaching and mentorship.
  • Expanded & streamlined key survey production process for manually-curated surveys (reducing production time by 80%), and automated those capabilities for use in user-configurable products for an overall 300% revenue increase across the product line.
  • Produced a comprehensive company “vertical” analysis paired with a detailed “ecosystem map” to uncover insights for designing new integrations between departments that reduced duplicate work by over 85%.
